Long-haul fares

Our long-haul fares are for all international flights, except flights between any two of these countries: Australia, New Zealand, the Cook Islands, Fiji, Niue, Samoa, Tonga, Vanuatu or Tahiti.

You can choose Economy, Premium Economy or Business Premier, with the option of low Saver fares or fully refundable Flexi fares. All our fares are return rather than one-way, with no additional return surcharge. This gives you the freedom to book different fares for each direction of your journey.

Take a moment to check the fare conditions below, so you can choose the booking flexibility, baggage allowance and comfort options you need. When you book online with us, a link in the 'view details' section will show the relevant fare conditions before you complete your booking.

If you only book one direction of your journey, be aware that some countries can have stricter entry requirements if you arrive without a booked return flight.

All our long-haul fares are eligible for Airpoints Dollars™ and Status Points, unless booked in N or F class (Grabaseat Greenlight fares) or purchased with Airpoints Dollars. Each fare has a different earning rate. For details see our Airpoints™ calculator.

Business Class and Business Premier fares are eligible for Airpoints Companion tickets on Air New Zealand operated flights, unless Companion tickets are purchased with Airpoints Dollars. Economy and Premium Economy fares may also be eligible, contact us to find out.
