Manage your flight bookings

Your booking reference is shared by everyone in your flight booking and across all flights in your journey.

Air New Zealand booking references have six characters, which can be letters and numbers, and they always end in 'H'. For example, 'MB3R2H' or 'ALJJ1H'.

You can find your booking reference in your booking confirmation email and on your itinerary. You might also be able to see it in your Airpoints™ account.

If the code you're looking at is different, it might be something else:

• Flight numbers start with NZ and end with up to four digits
• Ticket numbers start with 086 and are 13 digits long
• Six-character codes that don't end in H most likely have been booked through a different airline

Your ticket number is unique to you, and you may have more than one ticket number for your journey. Air New Zealand ticket numbers start with 086 and are 13 digits long.

You can find your ticket number in your booking confirmation email. It includes your e-Ticket, as a PDF attachment. Your ticket number is at the top left, next to your name.

Yes, you can sign in to your Koru account and manage your bookings under 'Your bookings'. If your booking is missing, you can add it by entering your booking reference or hotel itinerary number.

When you book online, be sure to include your Koru number. You can add your Koru number after you've made a booked through manage booking. You'll be able to see your flights online and in the Air NZ app, and you'll automatically earn Airpoints™ and Status Points. 

You can't make changes to your bookings after you have flown. If you didn't receive Airpoints Dollars™ or Status Points from your recent flight, you may be able to claim your missing Airpoints™.

We offer refunds for flexirefund, worksflexi, premiumflexi and businessflexi tickets on our domestic and Trans-Tasman routes. All our other fares are non-refundable unless specified. Refer to our fare rules for details.

Certain third-party fees such as taxes, airport charges, and payments to the Voluntary Emissions Contribution Programme cannot be refunded, unless required by applicable law. These costs have already been covered by us.
