Seat and Seat + Bag passengers

With our Seat and Seat + Bag products, you’ll be able to purchase packaged snack foods like potato chips, cheese & crackers and chocolate bars from our In-flight Bites Menu (menu is specific to Air NZ flights only). You will also be able to choose from a small selection of fresh sandwich-style items. These items will be available for purchase, along with soft drinks, beer, wine & spirits, through the seat-back entertainment system. You can view the selection on your screen, and purchase items by swiping your credit card (cash is not accepted on board) through the system to place an order. If you do not have a credit card, you will be able to purchase vouchers at the airport that can be used to pay for items from our In-flight Bites Menu. Your order will be delivered directly to your seat by one of our cabin crew members.

On Virgin Australia flights a selection of snacks, beverages and hot foods (subject to availability) are available for purchase from the menu. Accepted forms of payment are cash, credit card and NZ's pre-purchased $5 in-flight Bites voucher.

The Works and Works Deluxe passengers

With The Works and Works Deluxe products, a meal will be served and drinks offered during the flight. When you book your flight you are able to request a standard, vegetarian, gluten-free or child meal (Air New Zealand flights only). On Virgin Australia flights a vegetarian option may be requested in flight. If you don’t make a request at the time of booking, you will be defaulted to the standard meal. You will enjoy a similar-style of meal to what we serve in Economy Class on Tasman and Pacific flights. Once you’ve enjoyed your meal service, you’ll be able to order additional drinks, free of charge, from the ‘Complimentary’ section of the In-flight Bites Menu on your entertainment system.

If you feel extra peckish, you can purchase packaged snack food items from our In-flight Bites Menu, using your credit card (cash is not accepted on board Air New Zealand flights), or voucher purchased at the airport prior to flying.
