Air New Zealand Mobile Trial
Air New Zealand Mobile is designed to make staying connected overseas simpler, giving you mobile data for your trip without needing to swap your physical SIM or disconnect from your current mobile provider.
If your registration is confirmed, you'll be able to purchase a trial data-only eSIM for $1, test the set-up and travel experience, and share feedback to help us improve the product before it launches more widely.
Before you register
Please make sure you're happy to take part in the full trial experience. If you're eligible, you'll need to:
- purchase the Air New Zealand Mobile data-only eSIM for $1, with 50GB of capped data
- use it during your upcoming overseas trip
- test the purchase, set-up and travel experience
- use the available support channels if you need help
- complete a short feedback survey after your trip
Is my device eSIM compatible?
To take part in the trial, you'll need a compatible, unlocked device that supports eSIM.
To check:
On iPhone or Android, dial *#06# on your phone.
If your device supports eSIM, you should see an EID number displayed. This is usually a long number.
If you don't see an EID number, your device may not support eSIM and you may not be able to take part in the trial.
Terms and Conditions:
Places in the trial are limited and eligibility criteria apply.
Eligibility criteria: The trial is open to select Air New Zealand passengers departing New Zealand to the specifically listed regions with travel between 26 June 2026 and 9 July 2026. You will need a compatible, unlocked device that supports eSIM. eSIM connectivity will cease at the end of the customers trip or for 30 days from purchase, whichever is earliest.
*Select eligible destinations for the trial are: Australia, Fiji, Cook Islands, Indonesia, USA, Samoa, Singapore, Japan, Canada, Tonga, French Polynesia.
Air New Zealand Mobile is powered by One NZ. eSIM is data-only, calls and texts aren't included. If you use calling or txt on your primary SIM, you may be charged by your existing SIM network provider.
Use of the Air NZ Mobile eSIM will be subject to terms and conditions.
