Air New Zealand offers a wide range of special meals for our customers with individual requirements such as religious, ethnic or dietary needs.
Long-haul flights
We've created 14 special meals to meet many religious, ethnic, or dietary meal requirements. You should request your special meal at the time of booking or at least 24 hours prior to your departure by advising your travel agent or Air New Zealand. If you would like the same meal onboard your Tasman & Pacific Island connecting flight (for example Brisbane - (Auckland) - Los Angeles), please contact us to organise this.
If you are on a connecting flight with another airline and you need a special meal, please contact that airline directly to organise your meal.

Business Class customers can request a special meal from the long-haul selection of 14 special meals.
Economy Class customers can request a Child meal, Gluten Intolerant meal or Vegetarian (vegan or non-dairy) meal. If you are travelling to or from Denpasar (Bali), Honolulu, Papeete or Perth a Diabetic meal is also available.
Meals must be selected online or requested through our Contact Centre or your travel agent at the time of booking or at least 24 hours prior to your departure. Please note that if a child’s meal is not requested a standard meal will be provided.
If you have other special dietary needs, you are welcome to bring your own pre-packed snacks onboard. You are also welcome to bring non-alcoholic drinks for your consumption onboard, provided they have a spill-proof lid on them. Please however keep in mind security regulations regarding the carriage of restricted items such as liquids, aerosols, gels and pastes in the cabin.
Please note that if you have booked with Air New Zealand on a NZ7000 series flight, Virgin Australia do not offer special meals.
