Booking your fare

  • Book the fare type that best suits your needs or a combination of fare types
  • Book on-line to avoid paying a service fee.

Check-in on time

  • 60 minutes - Domestic to Tasman / International
  • 3 hours - Tasman Express and other International services
  • Plan to be at the Gate lounge 45 minutes prior to departure.

Baggage

  • Weight and size do matter
  • Space may be limited on some flights
  • Excess baggage (above your allowance) will incur additional cost.

In-flight

  • Complimentary food and beverage in all classes
  • In-flight entertainment and Air New Zealand magazine in all classes
  • One special meal option
  • No allergen-free meals, children's or infant meals.

Boarding/Disembarking

  • Some Tasman Express flights to/from Auckland may be boarded using remote gates with bus transport to/from the aircraft.

  • Base fares up to 40 per cent lower than previous sale fares available
  • Fares available year-round, not as ad-hoc, promotional deals
  • An average 20 per cent reduction on the full range of fares, including Business Class
  • A quarter of all seats available, on average, in the lowest Tasman Smart Saver fare range. On some flights, up to 40 per cent of seats expected to be available in this price bracket
