Air New Zealand operates international lounges in ten of our main destinations
We have agreements with other lounge operators in most of our other destinations which will still allow you to relax away from the crowds. See more information on these lounges.
In addition to the Air New Zealand operated or contracted lounges, there are over 980 lounges around the world available to Star Alliance Gold customers and those travelling in First or Business Class on a Star Alliance carrier.
Air New Zealand’s Alliance with the Virgin Australia Group means you’ll also benefit from Virgin Australia’s wider international network (on all routes except the Pacific Islands) including access to their lounges.
Passengers entitled to lounge access on either carrier will be granted access to both airlines lounges. You will need to show your Airpoints Elite, Gold or Koru membership card, or your Velocity or Virgin Australia lounge member card.
Virgin Domestic Lounges within Australia are located in: Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Gold Coast, Adelaide, Canberra, Perth and Cairns.
Works Deluxe customers receive lounge access when departing from airports where Air New Zealand has an airport lounge and will also have access to the Qantas lounge when departing from Adelaide and Perth. There is no lounge access in the Sunshine Coast. If travelling via an indirect route lounge access is not available in the transit airport. e.g. Auckland --> Brisbane --> Cairns, lounge access is available in Auckland only, not Brisbane.
If travelling from a regional New Zealand airport lounge access is available when transiting in New Zealand. e.g. Dunedin --> Christchurch --> Brisbane, lounge access is available in both Dunedin and Christchurch.
