Unaccompanied Baggage

If you've bought too many souvenirs or pairs of shoes, are travelling with your cello and surfboard and you're over your baggage allowance, don’t worry - there is another option.

If you've got more baggage than your checked in allowance permits, it is possible to consign any clothes and personal items (such as portable musical instruments or sports equipment) as unaccompanied baggage before you depart on your journey.

Air New Zealand will also accept hand tools of trade, perambulators and pushchairs as unaccompanied baggage.

See more detailed information on our unaccompanied baggage facility, and excess baggage allowances.
