Connecting at Houston (IAH)

Transferring to a Domestic or International Flight operated by a Star Alliance Carrier.

Please note: all customers arriving on international flights must collect and clear their bags through U.S. Customs regardless of their final destination (United Airlines)

Connecting to another flight and your baggage has been checked through to your next destination

  • After all bags have been collected, you should follow the directional signs to the U.S Customs queues
  • After queuing exit through double doors where there are United and Star Alliance bag transfer belts immediately to the right. The bags will be scanned by an agent and loaded on the belt
  • Next you will use the elevators behind the transfer belts to progress upstairs to the security check point
  • After clearing security, flight and gate information can be located on departure boards throughout all terminals
  • If connecting to a domestic or international flight operated by United Airlines follow the signs to walk to Terminal E or access the SkyTrain to Terminal B and C
  • If connecting to an international flight operated by any other Star Alliance carrier follow the signs to walk across to Terminal D

Connecting to another flight and your baggage has not been checked through to your next destination (United Airlines)

  • Customers whose bags have not been checked through on United Airlines will have to do so at the United re-check desk
  • As you exit the customs hall, you will walk past the transfer belts on the right. On the back wall will be counters for all international carriers and the United re-check desk
  • The agents at the desk can provide all necessary information regarding their flight (delays, cancellations, rebooking, etc.)
  • After the bags have been tagged the agents will put them on the transfer belt and you can to the security check point and on to your gate, using the same process as above

Transferring to a Domestic or International Flight operated by all other airlines (Non-Star Alliance)
